The first ever Canadian competition held outside of Ontario happened today, June 14th, 2008 in Vancouver, British Columbia. We had a total of 23 competitors, but everyone had a great time. Ibrahim Vajgel-Shedid won the competition with an average of 15.47 seconds. Kristopher de Asis finished in second place with an average of 18.14. And Deseree Aune became the fastest female cuber in Canada, finishing in third place with an average of 20.83 seconds.
The results have been submitted to the WCA and should be available on the site tomorrow. In the meantime, you can download a PDF version of the results here.
Thanks to all the competitors that showed up to make the competition a success, and to all the amazing volunteers that donated their time and efforts for the cause. A special thanks to Hong Chen for all his hard work to make the competition possible. We will have a full report sometime in the near future.
