A total of 55 brave cubers made the trek through horrible weather conditions yesterday to attend the second installment of the Toronto Open series. There were many bumps along the way that were part of the ripple effect of the winter storm, but in the end, the competition was successful. Expect a full report in the next 10 days. For now, you can check out the official resuts here.
Thank you to everyone that made it out to ensure the competition could go on. And a very, very special thank you to all the volunteers, without whom the competition would not have been possible. Thank you to the Moseley family, Mativo family, Compion family, Bill Li, and the rest of the cubers that jumped in to help scramble or judge as the day went on.
And a very special thank you goes to Ryosuke Mondo for flying all the way from Japan for our humble competition, and for thrilling us all with his absolutely incredible blindfolding abilities. To be able to see that live was a treat for us all.
We were so busy that we didn't get a chance to take pictures of anything. If you have photos of the event and would be willing to share, please send it to support [at] this domain (canadianCUBING.com).
