The second installment of CUBEcentric happened this past weekend in Toronto. The event saw a lot of fast times as the skill level of the competitors was quite high. For example, there were five sub 20 One Handed averages in the final round and the difference between first and fourth in the 2x2 final was 0.8 of a second.
Harris Chan returned to competition again, and took top place in the 3x3x3 event with an average of 10.47 seconds in the final round. In second place, up for his first Canadian competition was Dan Cohen with an average of 11.41. And rounding out the top three was Emily Wang with an average of 11.52 seconds.
The next Canadian competition is scheduled for Canada Day, July 1st, in Saint John, New Brunswick. We hope some people can make it out for that event. The next Toronto area competition is the Toronto Open, Summer 2011 competition on July 16th at Seneca again. We'll announce it officially next week.
